MEET MRS. ROWEN

Hello friends!

My name is Heather Rowen.  I graduated from Faulkton High School and went to college at Northern State University , earning my BS in Elementary Education in 2003.  I was an aide at Warner Elementary for 2 years and then came to the Aberdeen School District where I was a Reading Tutor for a year.  2007 was my first year of classroom teaching with a wonderful group of kindergarteners.  They were the best!  I am very excited to be teaching 4th grade in the fall of 2008.  I love O.M. Tiffany and all of our students and faculty-I have been blessed to work with all of them!

In December of 2006 I married my husband Jason.  He is a train conductor for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railways.  He is an avid hunter and sports fan.  We have no children, but two lovable Weimaraner dogs who are “the kids”.  Jason and I love to be outside doing things with the “boys”.

Besides teaching I have been the program director of the Aberdeen YMCA   Just For Kix Dance Teams for the past 7 years.  I have also taken on the role of Head Varsity Sideline Cheer Coach and Assistant Competitive Cheer Coach at Aberdeen Central.  Go Eagles!

In my spare time you can find me playing softball or any sport, walking with the dogs, reading a good book, or scrapbooking.  I love staying busy and working with children!

My husband Jason and I enjoying a fall trip to Sica Hollow. Drake and Pierce in trouble for tearing apart a couch cushion.  They look so innocent and boy I bet they had a fun afternoon.
